  • MEDICAL DONATIONS

Chesapeake Humane Society’s Medical Fund provides life-saving procedures such as heartworm treatments, limb amputations, and mass removals to sheltered pets. This fund also provides mental health support for pets who benefit from a behaviorist or additional training. Healthy minds, healthy bodies.

Your donation to our Medical Fund helps pets like Arlene. Thin, quiet, and afraid, Arlene was quick to win over our hearts with her soft eyes and wagging tail. Despite her loving nature, she faced obstacles on the path to her forever home. Arlene had never lived indoors before and was heartworm and Ehrlichia positive. A foster home taught Arlene how to trust new people, to play with other dogs, and to live in a home. Through Chesapeake Humane Society’s clinic and the Medical Fund, her treatment for heartworm disease and ehrlichiosis is completely covered.
